Kitchen Coordinator - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Location: Martin Luther King, Jr. Loaves & Fishes Center 5325 NE Martin Luther King Blvd., Portland OR
Hours: Monday -- Friday (30 hours/week)
General Responsibilities:
Properly prepare, hold and serve foods delivered by Loaves & Fishes Centers Central Kitchen. Provide menu innovation and enhancements to meal program. Maintain high standard of personal and kitchen sanitation and safety. Oversee and be responsible for all actions in the kitchen. Maintain proper backup supplies. Provide volunteer management.
Required Qualifications
1. Minimum of one year experience in food service, with soul food scratch cooking experience preferred. Retail food service preferred. 2. Experience working with and managing volunteers. 3. Ability to perform with minimum supervision. 4. Ability to establish good working relationships with all types of individuals. 5. Good record keeping and organizational skills. 6. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repetitively. 7. Must pass drug and alcohol test and criminal background check.
