Weekend/Holiday Kitchen Coordinator

Location:   Elm Court Loaves & Fishes Center
                    1032 SW Main Street, Portland, OR 97205

Hours: Saturdays & Sundays, plus holidays: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

General Responsibilities:

Establish a positive, welcoming atmosphere for all participants. Properly prepare, hold and serve foods delivered by Loaves & FIshes Central Kitchen. Maintain high standards of personal and kitchen sanitation and safety. Oversee and be responsible for all actions in the kitchen. Train and supervise volunteers for the weekend program.

Required Qualifications

1. Minimum one year experience in food service, preferably food retail.
2. Management experience preferred.
3. Experience in working with and managing volunteers.
4. Ability to perform with minimum supervision.
5. Ability to extablish good working relationships with all types of individuals.
6. Good recordkeeping and organizational skills.
7. Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
8. Must pass drug and alcohol test and criminal background check.
